Job Description:

The Senior Director, Oncology APM is responsible for end-to-end execution of an Oncology alternative payment model (APM). The Senior Director will be tasked with providing leadership, direction & support, in the development, integration and management of the APM. Responsibilities include network contracting, payer & provider relations, budget management, implementation strategy, executive reporting & subject matter guidance to cross-functional teams. The Senior Director will be the internal & external face of the Oncology APM and will be responsible for achieving the established goals of the APM.


  • Establishes & executes the Oncology APM, driving growth & expansion into new markets
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align organizational priorities and goals
  • Evaluates and monitors program operations in accordance with regulatory, compliance and organizational standards
  • Develops & implements policies and procedure to support the delivery of services to network practices
  • Leads the financial planning process to achieve cost-efficient operations and maximize profitability within the Oncology APM
  • Works with network practices to obtain buy-in on program objectives, core success strategies & future modifications
  • Oversees program scoring, reporting and distribution of program incentives to all program participants
  • Offers timely & accurate analytics to program practices to improve performance & profitability
  • Remains knowledgeable of all regulatory changes affecting the Oncology APM and communicates changes to leadership & network practices in a timely manner


  • Master’s In Business Administration or Healthcare Administration or related field
  • 10+ years of management experience in a healthcare setting
  • 3+ years direct experience within an Alternative Payment Model, accountable care organization or clinically integrated network
  • 1+ years Oncology experience required
  • Knowledge of the Oncology Care Model preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Executive level decisive judgment required
  • Must be able to lead others in a stressful environment, taking appropriate action when required
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to build and foster positive relationships
