Job Description:
Serves as a Senior Azure Engineer architecting, engineering and operating production/development environments, Azure cloud infrastructure, tracking projects, and driving operational optimization initiatives. Fully hands-on position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in Cloud services, DevOps/ DevSecOps toolsets and platforms including compute, storage, networking, security, Kubernetes, service mesh, CI/CD as well as monitoring and logging technologies.
- Drive automation of Cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management, self-service, Infrastructure-as-Code Terraform, Auto Scale initiatives.
- Implement security baselines and standards for Azure resources including network access, restriction of internet-facing resource provision and configuration within the Azure environment.
- Optimizing solution architectures to manage costs and identify cost control mechanisms.structure as Code and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)..

- Provide expertise and serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for both infrastructure and applications in Microsoft Azure.
- Work with application teams with their digital transformation goals and provide Azure resource deployment orchestration, automation, security, and configuration expertise.
- Work with applications team to draft and institutionalize cloud security standards, reference architecture, patterns and guidelines for both cloud-native development and migrations.
- Work with the IT Security Team, Solution Architect, and Development teams with security-related issues.
- Conceptualizing, presenting, and executing ideas within a tight schedule, with emphasis on serving as an Azure SME on development projects.
- As an Azure SME, the individual should be able to advise application team with various azure servicesAdvise applications with azure resource configuration (especially from a security perspective).
- Application and infrastructure incident response.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years’ experience in IT and 2+ years in Azure Cloud engineering and experienced in Azure DevOps pipelines.
- 1+ year and fully hands-on with Azure Kubernetes Services – administration, maintenance, upgrades, deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Expert level.
- 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
- Azure DevOps and/or Azure Engineer certification or similar experience
- Mastery in written/verbal skills.
- Mastery with contemporary engineering processes (e.g. agile, scrum, Kanban).
- Mastery of DevOps CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Testing, State Management, and Cloud Orchestration.
- Proficiency with SQL and Databases administration, monitoring, and performance management.
- Snowflake experience is a big plus but not required.
